S5d, 0.2nS rise/fall-pulser This module generates a fast pulse. Timing is determined by a fibre coupled logic pulse send via a commercial line-powered pulseunit. Risetimes measured are <90pS, falltimes are <250pS. For negative pulses risetime increases. Levels (pos<>zero<>neg) can be controlled via the DACs (D5-unit) or voltages (isoamp-in). Both on and off level can be set bipolair between +/- 0.3V (50ohm) As a result a battery-powered low noise pulser is created in which the timing can be controlled by the commercial pulser and offset and amplitude can be set by the biasdacs or modulated (lock-in) via the iso-amps. A fibre emitter can be connected to every commercial generator capable of generating at least 0..+3V in 50ohm. The emitter is powered by the signal itself. The emitter has a BNC input and a FSMA fibre output. output pulse measured on 34GHz-scope (20dB atten) output pulse measured on 1GHz-scope (ringing from scope) |
