QT designed instrumentation -modules-S1d-

S1d, isolated Voltage Source
(picture of prototype front)
This module is designed as a floating bias/gate source providing up to +/-8V
(planned is a modification that goes to +/-25V)
It's output is fully isolated (floating source) , signal is send via an optical path.
The switch [V/V] sets the full scale (@1V control) output voltage.
There is a standard 9V battery inside that lasts >1 year, status can be checked via the pushbutton.
Difference with the original S1/S1b is that the bandwidth has been enlarged from approx 300Hz to 10kHz.
The unit has 2 control inputs: x1 and x0.01, these can be used to have a dc-sweep (x1 input using a dac) with a modulation (lock-in on x0.01 via the iso-amp input).
The routing should be set in the summing module S2.
Example:When S1d placed in slot A, inputs are AV1 and AV2.
Sometimes the x0.01 input can be set jumpered to gnd in the module, for enabling modulation the wiring should be jumpered as on the picture:

Replacing of the battery can be done by the user, remove the cover (max. 6 screws) and on the board a rectangular 9V alkaline is placed with sticky tape.
