M1r, remote Current Measurement interface This module interfaces a remote Vbias+ IV-converterbox. Placing the IV-converter close to the sample makes a higher bandwidth possible. Also cablenoise-pickup is smaller. The interface cable (3m) contains supply/voltagebias/IVreadout lines. Note: This I-V conveter can not handle large input capacitances like the pi-filters in the matrix-rack It can only be used on <2 meter length coax (total <200pF) Both noise and bandwidth will degrade when the input capacitance rises. Above 200pF instability occurs (this design is comparable to commercial available units) For use on long/filtered lines and high bandwidth the M1e or M1f is a better choice. There is a postgain switch adding dc or ac gain giving a max total output of 1G V/A. Adding ac-postgain keeps dc-gain at 10MV/A When doing ac/noise/lock-in measurements as a function of dc-current the [x100ac] makes it possible to amplify the ac/noise while maintaining a large dc-sweep range. |
